The Institut français in the UAE is delighted to announce its upcoming ‘Conversation’ co-produced with Thinkers & Doers and hosted at Warehouse 421 the 11th of December.
This “Conversation” is a format of 1-hour morning talks between 3 speakers and a moderator, following a networking breakfast, gathering an international community of innovation leaders disrupting their industries.
In line with the Year of Tolerance launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the next Conversation “Tolerance and Intercultural Dialogue, Drivers for Peace” will bring together:
- E Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, former Minister of the Tolerance former Minister of State for Tolerance, United Arab Emirates; Former president, Zayed university.
- Rachid Benzine, Philosopher and author,
- Manal Ataya, Executive Director, Sharjah Museums Authority.
The moderation will be provided by Mina Al-Oraibi, Editor-in-chief of The National.
The first talk: “Culture and diversity: at the heart of new identity in cities” brought together four major personalities of the Arab and European cultural scenes to exchange on culture as a structuring element of history and future of cities.
