GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE DELF JUNIOR EXAM

1. General terms and conditions
The general terms and conditions of sale described below have been defined by the Institut Français
UAE, hereinafter referred to as IF UAE, as part of the organization of official DELF junior examinations
in the UAE.
All registrations for the DELF junior exam at UAE imply unreserved acceptance of the general terms
and conditions of sale in force on the day of registration.

2. Registration for DELF Junior
a. Confirmation of registration and review of registration fees
Registration for the examination is confirmed once the registration fee has been paid (please refer to
the registration fee schedule for the current year; IF UAE reserves the right to revise the registration
fee no more than once per calendar year).
Invitations are sent to candidates by e-mail. It is important to check the information provided and
report any errors to IF UAE. These details are important, as they will appear on the certificate and
diploma issued once the test has been passed.
"If errors have not been reported on the day of the test, any request to change the data entered on a
certificate of achievement or diploma will result in costs being charged to the candidate".
Invitations to the exam are sent by e-mail to DELF coordinators at schools registering candidates, and
to individual candidates, approximately 5 to 8 days before the exam.

b. Candidates with special needs
Special examination conditions are granted to candidates with special needs. To benefit from these
conditions, candidates must mention that they have a disability at the time of registration and as
soon as possible. Candidates must provide the examination center with a medical certificate stating
the diagnosis and specifying the recommended accommodations for a foreign language examination.
The medical certificate must not be older than 2 years from the date of the group tests.
If a candidate with special needs does not provide a medical certificate, he/she will not be able to
benefit from any accommodation or exemption.

3. Modification, cancellation, or postponement of registration
Candidates may request a change in their registration level no later than one (1) month before the
date of the tests. Requests should be sent by e-mail to [email protected].
Registration for a DELF Junior exam is non-refundable.
A deferral of registration may be granted, once only during the 12 months following the initial exam
date, and only in the following cases:
– illness, or any other medical reason (upon presentation of a medical certificate);
– family emergency (unanticipated and definitive departure from the UAE, death, hospitalization of a
first-degree relative, on presentation of proof);
– convocation (after the DELF junior registration date) to an exam or competitive examination that is
part of the candidate's academic curriculum, or interview for university entrance (on presentation of
appropriate supporting documents).
The candidate (or the DELF junior coordinator for partner schools) must send the corresponding
supporting documents by e-mail to [email protected], no later than 7 days after the test date.

4. Examination conditions
Candidates must arrive no later than 15 minutes before the start of the tests, with a paper copy of
their invitation to attend and a valid form of identification (passport or Emirates ID). No candidate
will be admitted to the examination room after the start of the tests.
Late arrival for any of the tests (oral or written) is equivalent to an absence, and no refund will be
given.

5. Attempted fraud or disruption of the examination process
Fraud, attempted fraud (falsification, attempted falsification, usurpation of identity, consultation of
an unauthorized document, copying from another candidate, falsification of certificates or diplomas,
etc.) or disruption of the smooth running of a session by any person registered to take the DELF
exam, whether as perpetrator or accomplice, may be observed before, during or after the taking of
the tests by any person in charge of organizing the sessions. Where appropriate, the person in charge
of the examination center may also decide to exclude a candidate from the examination room if he
or she sees fit.
An official report will be drawn up, and the Disciplinary Commission set up by France Education
International (FEI) will then be competent to decide on the penalties incurred (which may consist,
depending on the seriousness of the case, in the cancellation of the diploma awarded and/or a ban
on taking the exams for a period set by the Commission).

6. Publication of examination results
Results are available and published on the https://institutfrancais-uae.com/resultats-delf-junior/
website approximately 6 to 8 weeks after the exams. DELF coordinators at partner schools and
individual candidates are informed by e-mail when results are published.
Candidates may ask to consult their copy of the test. To do so, they must request an appointment at
[email protected]. Candidates are allowed to consult their test papers under the supervision of an IF
EAU employee. Under-age candidates must be accompanied by a legal representative.

7. Diploma collection
Official diplomas are available for collection 3 to 6 months after the date of publication of test
results. They must be collected as soon as possible according to the procedures defined by IF UAE
and communicated by e-mail to the DELF coordinators of partner schools, and to individual
candidates.
