From images to action, the Better World Fund (BWF) joins forces with the Institut Français in the UAE to create a platform assembling filmmakers, writers, scientists, environmentalists and project leaders to explore and activate palpable initiatives to preserve and protect the planet. Dubai Expo 2020 will be the stage to convey universal messages. In this framework the BWF and the Institut Français UAE will support the production of a short film of 12’ length maximum. The film shall tackle the topic of handicap and people of determination. This initiative is under the patronage H.E Noura Al Kaabi, UAE Minister of Culture and Youth and is supported by the Embassy of France and Institut français in the UAE.

What is happening on december 3rd?

The Better World Fund is proud to be part of the France Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai. Under the Patronage of the French Embassy, l’Institut Français in U.A.E, Dubai cares, Islamic Affairs and with the U.A.E Ministry of Culture and Youth as a strategic Partner, we are pleased to collaborate to support the UN Sustainability Development Goals around disability. We invite you to a one-day program for the International Day of Persons with Disabilities at the France Pavilion. During this special day, we will organize programs, conferences for schools, masterminds, challenges around disability, multiple ways to interact with our elite network and of course our traditional gala dinner followed by the award ceremony.

What is the Better World Fund?

The BWF hosts prestigious international events bringing together celebrities, filmmakers, executives, businesses and change makers with one goal: to make international commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) a reality. The Better World Fund is a Paris-based endowment fund that was created in 2016 in response to a humanitarian drive from a society in need of authenticity and truth. Beyond political, religious or cultural differences, the BWF shines the spotlight on women’s rights, education, the environment and biodiversity and since 2016 has been organizing a series of high-level events in world-renowned venues such as : Cannes Film Festival, Venice Film Festival, Los Angeles, Toronto, Monaco, Cairo, New York, Dubai Expo 2020, along with other influential people from the film, music, business, sports and of fashion.
