The Institut Français presents French designers at Dubai Design Week

Dubai Design Week is the region’s largest creative festival and aims to showcase art and design. Taking advantage of the status of the design capital of the Middle East to which Dubai has risen, this annual event offers inventive exhibitions of architecture, products, furniture and interior design. Immersive, interesting and inspiring, Dubai Design Week celebrates the variety of regional talent, but also invites international artists to share their art with local communities. The Downtown Design show is one of the flagship events of the festival, where local and foreign brands present limited edition creations.
In partnership with Cité du Design de Saint-Etienne, the Institut Français in the UAE will participate in the Dubai Design Week 2021 through the organization of an exhibition showcasing French designers. The exhibition will focus on the innovations related to mobility.
The Cité du design focuses on the challenges of design from the idea to application for a transition to the future. Design your future has three sides, the first dedicated to the public with the presentation of 100 works of art on the mobility of the future, the second is the result of a photography competition “Imagine tomorrow’s mobility”, the third opens the borders with various projects of the Creative Design Cities Unesco Network to arrive at the testimonies of French designers who show the impact of design on today’s society. Design your future will take us into the fields of mobility, design and imagination.
