Our Partner – TV5 MONDE
TV5 monde, is an operator of Francophonie in the media such as social networks, both to circulate the language on the Internet, but also to promote quality, cross-checked and diverse information. This also involves training French-speaking journalists around the world.
It is therefore natural that we wanted to associate TV5 Monde with our activities, as a key player in the influence of French and Francophone culture, it is a major supporter and accompanies the Institut Français in its annual programming.
A global cultural broadcaster claiming its French-speaking DNA, TV5MONDE represents not only its 5 donor States (France, Switzerland, Wallonia / Brussels, Quebec, Canada) and the 10 partner channels that emanate from them (France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, France Ô, Arte, RTBF, RTS, Radio-Canada, Télé-Québec), but more generally the 77 member states of the International Organization of the Francophonie and the African channels united within the CIRTEF. Its board of directors, multilateral, is made up of representatives of the national public television stations of the donor countries; it has been chaired since July 2013 by the Chairman and CEO of France Télévisions.
Thanks to its TiVi5 MONDE youth channel dedicated to 4-14 year olds, now available on Arabsat, TV5MONDE allows children and teenagers to continue learning French at home, in a fun way, with programs suitable for young and old alike.
With its varied programs from French-speaking production, cartoons, educational programs, children’s series, magazines and animated feature films, TiVi5 MONDE aims to become the favorite channel for 4-14 year olds in the region, as it is already in United States and in 30 African countries where it has been very successful for several years.
The channel is now available in HD and SD, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, unencrypted and free on the ARABSAT Badr 26° East satellite, which has exclusive rights to it in the area.
