The objectives of the Institut Français in the UAE are to promote artistic creation and French cultural dynamism in the United Arab Emirates, while multiplying the bridges of exchange between French and Emirati artists. Building bridges between cultures, helping mutual knowledge of civilizations are all ambitions of the French Institute which are relevant in a globalized world but are even more so in the UAE where more than 120 nationalities live together.

In this context, the role of companies, when it comes to cultural patronage, is not limited to a simple question of financial support. Through their commitment to us, a shared vision is displayed, in the service of values and causes of general interest.

With each sponsor, we discuss on a case-by-case basis the benefits that the UAE French Institute can offer. It is a question of shared interest: corporate sponsors can find a meaning in being associated with a French artistic approach while at the same time being involved in collaborations with Emirati artists and cultural actors.  We want to believe that patronage brings to the sponsors as much as it brings to us, by opening a space of dialogue between the business world and the cultural world.
