The Institut Français in the United Arab Emirates is proud to announce the signing of a Partnership with France Pavilion, with a view to promoting French culture on the occasion of Expo 2020. In Partnership with the Institut Français in Paris, artists, schools and institutions we will organize a serie of event during the day of France on october 2, but also many other events and exhibitions during the 6 months of the Expo. This partnership is a unique opportunity to highlight education, biodiversity, creativity, health and other themes during the various highlights of the Expo. The Dubai World Expo will be organized from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) around the theme Connecting Minds, Building the Future and with 3 sub-themes sustainability, opportunity and mobility.
The France Pavilion, with the specific theme “Lights, Light”, will be located in the mobility area in front of the Emirati Pavilion designed by Norman Forster. It will bring France’s vision internationally and will also be an exceptional showcase for strengthening the French presence on cultural, scientific and industrial issues.
For six months, France will shine internationally by highlighting unique and daring French innovations and creations, in all areas that make the history of humanity a history of progress: science, research, technologies, arts and crafts, education.
The aim of the Pavilion is also to witness France’s commitment to build the future through political, economic, cultural and social initiatives and actions. This commitment will be illustrated in particular in the event programming of the France Pavilion, the guiding line will be the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the UN.
This will be the 1st universal exhibition organized in the MEASA region (Middle East, Africa and South Asia). It will also mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of the United Arab Emirates (1971). With the ambition to be a platform for sharing a sustainable vision of the development of the planet for the benefit of current and future generations, this edition promises to arouse curiosities and surprise people.
