The UAE French Institute promotes cooperation between France and the United Arab Emirates in the field of music through its participation in major events of the cultural scene organized in the State:
Abu Dhabi Classics, a classical music festival organized by the Abu Dhabi Cultural Authority, held annually in the iconic venues of the UAE capital. Examples of French participation:

Collaborations with ADMAF (Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation). Established in 1996, it is one of the oldest non-profit organizations in the Gulf that aims at creating a network of education, art and creative industries

Performance of Georges Balanchine’s Ballet “Joyaux” by dancers from the Paris National Opera, ending the Festival on March 29 and 30, 2019 at the Emirates Palace Auditorium.
In addition, the UAE French Institute partnered up with the Louvre Abu Dhabi to co-produce the Museum’s first electronic music concert and light show, as part of the exhibition “Rendez-vous in Paris: Picasso, Chagall, Modigliani & Co… (1900-1939)”.
Bringing together French and international DJs: Molecule, Boogie Box and Amon Tobin, this electro night was a real success, selling out completely a few days before the event.

Finally, cooperation in the music sector also takes place through the organization of musical workshops, in partnership with third party players.
2019
Building Beats – Franco-German Project (December 6, 2019)
In 2019, the German Embassy, the Goethe Institute and the UAE French Institute conducted a project together dedicated to electronic music. Two DJs, French and American, based in Berlin led discovery and advanced workshops on music production and turntable operation to about 20 people who came from different backgrounds.
