Cooperation

The Franco-Emirati cooperation is based on long-term relations in the educational and scientific fields, for the mutual benefit of both countries. To cite just a few examples in various sectors: French is being taught again since 2018 in Emirati public schools and in several hundred private schools in the country; the French Archaeological Mission to the Emirates has been exploring and revealing the heritage of the Emirates since 1977; the Abu Dhabi branch of the French Research Center for the Arabian Peninsula (CEFREPA) contributes to the vitality of research in the humanities and social sciences on the Gulf; an annual class of Emirati doctors is admitted to the internship program in France; the National School of Magistrates (ENM) contributes to the training of Emirati magistrates; cooperation agreements bring together the best Emirati and French universities; many alumni of French higher education work in Emirati universities, hospitals, institutions and companies; an ever-increasing number of Emirati nationals are very valuable French-speaking partners…

 

The educational cooperation is also nurtured by the presence in the United Arab Emirates of a growing number of French schools, which bring our school and university system to life here, as well as our language and culture. These institutions welcome pupils and students of all nationalities, allowing the French to be enriched by diverse cultures and everyone to share an open and dynamic French culture. From kindergarten to the baccalaureate in the 7 accredited French high schools, then for university studies in many disciplines at the Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi, on the campus of Paris 2 in Dubai, at INSEAD in Abu Dhabi, at ESMOD Dubai, at the Ecole 42 in Abu Dhabi, and very soon at EM Normandie UAE and others…
