ART EXPLORA IN A FEW WORDS

Art Explora was created by businessman Frédéric Jousset (co-founder of Webhelp) on November 9, 2019. Endowed with €4 million, the fund aims to share culture with as many people as possible and thus combat inequalities in access to creation.

In 15 months, Art Explora has gone from a concept to a global reality with a dozen permanent staff, 750 volunteers invested in 5 countries and large-scale projects (the European Prize for Innovative Museums, an online education platform labeled by the Sorbonne University, the boat-museum and its travelling cultural festival, an artist residence in Montmartre).

Art Explora has also implemented concrete actions to bring the arts closer to all audiences, such as taking young people to its partner museums (British Museum, Prado, Louvre) or share short online conferences with seniors with volunteers from its Allô Miró program.

This spring also marks the opening of a project of artist residencies from around the world: the Explora Art Villas.
