Minister of Culture Rima Abdul-Malak visited Abu Dhabi on November 14 and 15, 2022 on the occasion of the five years of Louvre Abu Dhabi.
The Minister of Culture honored us with her presence not only for the very symbolic anniversary of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, but also to discover the emirate of Abu Dhabi, its cultural players and the strategic cooperation projects that unite France and the United Arab Emirates in various cultural fields, notably music, arts and crafts, video games and audiovisual.
Meetings with Noura Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth and Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism, helped to consolidate projects and open up new ambitions.
On November 14, 2022, Louvre Abu Dhabi’s anniversary celebration day was celebrated in the presence of Minister Rima Abdul Malak, who was associated with the press conference, and during a prestigious gala under the dome, with the delegation of French museums who made the trip as well as Jean Nouvel, architect of the museum.
On November 15, 2022, the Minister was able to meet with HE Zaki Nusseibeh, Cultural Advisor to the President of the United Arab Emirates, member of the Institut de France since June 2022. Following his visits to House of Artisans and Cultural Foundation , she was able to meet artists and professionals from the creative industries, as well as the French or French-speaking community who work daily to promote the dissemination of French culture in the United Arab Emirates, through her audacity and pride in sharing our values. and our cultural excellence.
The timely timing allowed the Minister of Culture to discover Abu Dhabi Art Fair. In the company of H.E. Noura Al Kaabi, she visited the French galleries represented, some present in the United Arab Emirates, such as Custot Gallery Dubai, Galleria Continua, Zidoun & Bossuyt, Perrotin gallery, or others who made the trip on this occasion. : La La Lande, In Situ – Fabienne Leclerc, and Ceysson & Bénétière.
